Ashish Ranjan is a socio-political activist based in Araria, Bihar. He is active with the workers' movement in India and is a full-timer with Jan Jagran Shakti Sangathan (JJSS), a trade union of unorganized sector workers. He is a member of the National Working Group of the National Alliance of People's Movements (NAPM), a core committee member of the National Campaign for People's Right to Information (NCPRI), and part of the convening team of NREGA Sangharsh Morcha (NSM). He is also associated with the Right to Food campaign, Pension Parishad, and he was active in the NRC campaign. Kiran Vissa is a long-time AID volunteer and a prominent leader in India's farmers' movements. He is a co-founder of Rythu Swarajya Vedika, an organization working in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to support farmers, prevent suicides, and address rural distress. With a background in engineering, Kiran returned to India after working in the US to focus on grassroots agricultural issues, policy advocacy, and sustainable farming. More recently Kiran helped form Telangana for Peace and Unity, a forum which brings communities together to stand against divisive forces and envision a society rooted in care, peace, respect and justice.
