Improving education for children from socially and economically disadvantaged communities holds promise to bring much needed equality. AID Bay Area supports projects that work on improving basic education skills and provide holistic environmental education benefiting rural communities.

A community based after-school program designed to improve the quality of education in rural Tamil Nadu  
Impact: Program reaches out to 750 marginalized children and helped improved Reading and Arithmetic skills by ~ 70%

Environmental Education for Rural Children, West Bengal​

Teaching students at primary and secondary levels to learn and master skill sets with a focus on environmental studies affecting their communities.
Impact: Students become expert in organic kitchen gardens and pest management techniques, in turn spread awareness in their communities.
